A collection of 3 creamy, decadent dessert shooters. Perfectly portioned for the perfect treat!
Today my friend, Jennifer from Take Two Tapas, has been gracious enough to share with us 3 of her most popular desserts. And let me tell you, I have made everyone of these and they are PHENOMENAL!!!
My name is Jennifer Stewart and I blog over at Take Two Tapas. My friend Kristen has been gracious enough to let me share some recipes with you!
Kristen speaks to my heart with her delicious whole food recipes, making things easy for moms, and involving the kids. My kids are picky eaters and I can count on them at least “trying” new things if they are helping out. Their favorite things to eat are desserts. Even though I shouldn’t eat sweets, I do love a small one every now and then. Let’s face it, who doesn’t love desserts?
Sticking with my philosophy of eating smaller portions, I love to make desserts in shot glasses! They are cute for parties, have versatile fillings, and most of them can be made ahead of time!
I have three dessert shooter recipes to share with you today.
My first recipe is, by far, my most popular. It is a dessert shooter that brings together the flavors of coconut, caramel, and graham crackers!
This is a shot glass version of a pie that I was introduced to during Holy Week at church this year. I ate my weight in this pie and had to share it with you. These shooters are layers of toasted graham crackers, toasted coconut, caramel sauce, and cream cheese! Perfect for dreaming of vacationing in the tropics!
My second recipe will transport you to Key West where they serve frozen Key Lime Pie on a stick! I have never been to Key West, but I know that when I do, Key Lime Pie is the first
thing I am eating. I love Key Lime Pie and have make it several times but my favorite way to eat it is mixed with cheesecake. These No-Bake Key Lime Cheesecake Jars have the bright and tart taste of lime and the creaminess of cheesecake. Best of all you don’t have to get your house all hot and bothered by turning on the oven!
My third shot glass recipe speaks to your inner Nutella need. My hubby doesn’t like Nutella so I substitute peanut or almond butter for him. This shooter is also a no-bake recipe that combines the flavors of Nutella, salted caramel, and cheesecake.
These three shooters are super fun and easy. All the layers can be made ahead of time and then assembled closer to the time to serve. When I am going to make some for a party, I usually toast all my graham cracker crumbs at once and store in a jar in my pantry. This is also a great topping for ice cream or yogurt or even oatmeal!
These are the perfect way to end a meal, or if you are like me, inhale a tray while watching The Real Housewives of Any City!
I love summertime because it is more laid back, no schedules, and the perfect time for grazing on tapas all day long, including dessert.
About me- I grew up in a kitchen, worked in my parent’s restaurant when I was little, licked my Ma’s frosting off the mixer paddle, and If I could, I would put my bed in the kitchen so I could sleep there since I spend all my time there. I try to avoid eating mushrooms and black licorice, and I hoard food magazines. I started Take Two Tapas so I could blog recipes that I love but also make them in smaller portions so I can eat a variety of things in one meal. Hop on over and see all of my other fun, small, and tasty recipes that are perfect for summer grazing!
