Since I am still a bit down and out, I thought today would be a great opportunity for me to introduce you to one of my favorite blogs I have recently discovered, “Fresh Menu Planner.”
Matt Kearns is the culinary genius behind “Fresh Menu Planner.” He is classically trained and has had experience in restaurants for 13 years. The best part about that training: he is sharing his strategies and what he has learned in order to bring fresh food to life for you in manageable ways! Isn’t that great?!
I am so happy to stumble upon a chef who shares similar passions as I do. He is passionate about sharing healthy recipes, but also believes in the occasional splurge. Everything in moderation! Plus it helps he is a native of Canada. Did I mention I was born in Canada myself? Well there you go, you learned something new about me!
On “Fresh Menu Planner,” Matt shares his tips for delicious, healthy, and easy recipes; strategies for healthy eating; and tips and tricks to reach your nutrition goals. And by the looks of his food, it will not at all feel like you are depriving yourself of ANYTHING.
Just look at these fabulous recipes he is sharing with us today:
Well, Matt had me at the mention of Asian Cuisine and I know my husband, the carnivore that he is, will be sold on beef!! My children just think anything is fun that can be hand held (and yes, I realize to have proper manners they should be using silverware, but who cares if they are shoveling those beautiful veggies into their tummies?)
Yum, I promise you that once I have my strength about me, this will be first on my meal plan. It screams comfort and decadence in a fresh form!!
This beauty is a unique gluten-free version of a classic. It has also been given a major dose of protein through the quinoa. I look at this and drool. You all know I get a bit weak in the knees when it comes to Italian Cuisine. I am anxious to try this with my homemade spaghetti sauce.
As you can tell, I am sold! “Fresh Menu Planner” will not only help you cook healthy, but also with a culinary flair of genius that I promise even a scared home cook can master with Matt’s simple recipes.
So check Matt out and send some of your love his way–he really has great recipes and tips to share!
