To make healthy meals, it is crucial to have a well stocked pantry.
This can keep you from avoiding a quick fast food run or a run to the grocery store in the middle of making dinner–and let’s be honest, that is when we ALL fall to temptation!! And if I have to make unplanned trips to the grocery store, I end up spending more money that week than I had planned–which is never a good thing!!
So to plan meals and shop once is ideal for the week. It is also best to stock up on the certain items when they are on sale, so that you always have them on hand and can whip up a quick and healthy meal. It takes less time to whip up homemade sauce with pasta than to run out to the store or call in take-out. And when you have vegetables in the freezer, you have a complete meal full of healthy nutrients!
