MUFFINS

Instead of being loaded with refined flour and sugars, these muffins are made with whole grains, naturally sweetened, and lower in fat thanks to using applesauce in place of part of the oil. And of course loaded with apple flavor.

WHOLESOME SWAPS

Whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, & nutmeg until well combined. In a separate bowl, mix together applesauce, honey, oil, eggs, and vanilla. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

Scoop batter out by 1/4 cup into lined or greased muffin cups. If desired, sprinkle each muffin with cinnamon sugar.

Bake muffins until set. Allow to cool for 10 minutes in muffin tin and then remove to a cooling rack to cool completely.

These applesauce muffins are a family staple!  They are so yummy, sweet and moist!!
