Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Bars

Healthy Swaps

Whole wheat flour replaces refined flour, yogurt replaces half the oil, and maple syrup is used to sweeten these bars instead of refined sugar.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, oats, baking soda, and chocolate chips.

In a small mixing bowl,  whisk together the egg, maple syrup, yogurt, oil, and vanilla.

Combine the wet and dry ingredients together. The mixture will be thick.

Spread the batter out in an 8x8 baking dish that has been greased well or lined with parchment paper.

Bake the bars in a 350 degree oven until set and golden and then cool for 10-15 minutes in the pan.

Remove the bars from the pan and slice into squares and then enjoy this wholesome treat.

I make these all the time! They are so good and I love the healthy ingredients! Thanks for a great recipe.
