Mix together salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, thyme, and paprika together. Rub the blend all over a whole chicken that has been cleaned out. 


Pour 1.5 cups of water into the inner pot and place a trivet inside inner pot.  Set seasoned chicken on trivet.


Seal the instant pot and cook on high pressure for 6 minutes  per pound with natural pressure release for at least 10 minutes.


Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes and slice into pieces to serve.
