To make colelaw,  it is best to use freshly grated or chopped cabbage and carrots. For the sauce, mix together mayonnaise or Greek yogurt with salt, vinegar, and either honey or sugar.

INGREDIENTS

Use a food processor to grate green cabbage and peeled carrots. Alternatively, thinly slice the cabbage and grate the carrots on a box grater. You can use a bagged mix, but fresh tastes best.

1

Prepare the coleslaw dressing, by whisking together the mayonnaise or yogurt with the vinegar, sugar, and salt in a large mixing bowl.

2

Add the cabbage mixture to the mixing bowl and toss until the cabbage and carrots are coated in the dressing.

3

Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.  Serve as a side dish or on top of Burgers or BBQ Sandwiches.
