Mix together the dried spices and salt to prepare dry rub for pork.

Rub the spice rub evenly over the pork roast.

Place the onion in the slow cooker and then place the seasoned pork roast on top of the onion.

In a small bowl mix together tomato sauce, apple juice, honey, brown sugar, and  vinegar together.

Pour the barbecue sauce over the pork.

Cook on low for 10-12 hours.

Shred the pork and mix into the sauce in the slow cooker.
