Instant Pot  Pot Roast

INGREDIENTS

*Chuck Roast *Potatoes *Carrots *Beef Broth *Horsradish *Seasonings

Turn the instnat pot to saute and add in a bit of oil to heat. Meanwhile, liberally season a chuck roast with salt and pepper.

Add the seasoned meat to the hot inner pot. Sear until browned on each side. Turn the instant pot off.

Remove the roast from the pot and add in beef broth. Scrape up browned bits and return the roast to the pan. Add garlic, onion powder, and horseradish.

Pressure cook for 20 minutes per pound with a natural pressure release. Once the pressure has been released remove the roast from the inner pot.

Add potatoes and carrots to broth and cook for 10 minutes on high pressure. Serve with rested roast.

I went through many, many, Instant Pot recipes for a pot roast. I was looking for a good 'ole fashioned' one like what my parents were used to making in the slow-cooker. She's nailed the recipe and the instructions.
