In a small container or glass jar, combine the oregano, parsley, basil, crushed red pepper flakes, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Mix until the spices are well distributed. At this point, you can store the bread dipping oil spice mixture for up to 6 months in your pantry.
When ready to serve, combine ½ cup of extra virgin olive oil with 1 tablespoon of the spice blend.
If desired, add 1 clove of grated or crushed garlic and 1 tablespoon of parmesan to the oil mixture. and stir to combine. Serve with bread of choice.

Serving Suggestions: This recipe makes about 4 tablespoons of the Italian spice blend. You will want to add 1 tablespoon of this blend for every ½ cup of extra-virgin olive oil, or ½ tablespoon for ¼ cup of extra-virgin olive oil. Serving Size: Each ½ cup of olive oil equates to 8 tablespoons or 8 standard servings. Storing the Olive Oil Bread Spice Blend: Store the combined spices in an airtight container or jar for up to 6 months in a cool, dark spice cabinet or pantry. Leftover dipping oil? If you don't use the entire batch of prepared dipping oil, you can store the mixture in an airtight container for up to 5 days. If you add fresh garlic or parmesan, store it in the refrigerator. Use the flavored oil to toss with pasta, roasted vegetables, spoon over meat, etc.
