This recipe for an air fryer baked potato allows you to enjoy a restaurant-quality baked potato with crispy, seasoned skin, with ease, and without the oven!
Scrub the potatoes well and let air dry. Once dried, pierce the potatoes several times with a fork.
In a shallow dish, combine the olive oil, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper. Roll the potatoes in this mixture, coating the skin of the potato evenly with the salt mixture.
Place the seasoned potatoes into the air fryer basket or on the tray, keeping in mind that you don't want to overcrowd the air fryer.
Air fry the potatoes for 20 minutes at 400℉. Remove the basket or tray, flip the potatoes, and continue to cook for 10-25 minutes or until the potatoes pierce easily with a knife. Small potatoes will only take about 30 minutes total, while larger potatoes will take 45-50 minutes. See the guidelines for specific cooking times below.
Remove the potatoes from the air fryer and serve as desired.

Storage: Allow the baked potatoes to cool fully and then store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. To reheat, microwave one potato at a time on a heat-safe plate for 1 to 2 minutes or reheat the potatoes in the air fryer at 400 degrees F for 8-10 minutes, or until warmed through.
