Notes
Always check with your veterinarian before introducing new foods, especially if your dog has allergies or health concerns.Important Note on Peanut Butter: Never use peanut butter containing xylitol, sometimes labeled as birch sugar, which is toxic to dogs.Storage: Let cool, then store in an airtight container for 3 days at room temperature and for a week in the refrigerator.Freeze Dog Treats: Let cool, then place in an airtight, freezer-safe container, and store them in the freezer for up to 3 months. Pull out a treat or two at a time and let them fully defrost at room temperature or in the refrigerator before allowing your dog to enjoy.Make the Treats Softer: These dog treats are already soft and perfect for most dogs, but if desired, use a food processor to blend the oats into oat flour before adding the other ingredients. The batter won't be as thick, so best to use a mold (like these cute dog bones) and bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes. Let cool in the mold for 5 minutes and then flip out of the mold.
