Stir Fry

An Americanized version of a Cantonese Stir-Fry made with chicken, mushrooms, and a delicious, savory sauce.

what you need:

• chicken breasts or thighs • egg white • soy sauce • cornstarch • low sodium chicken broth • Mirin • oyster sauce • toasted sesame oil • garlic • grated ginger • brown sugar • peanut oil • button mushrooms • carrots • snow peas • bamboo shoot strips

Thinly slice the chicken and marinate in an egg white and cornstarch mixture. Meanwhile, whisk together the ingredients for the sauce and set aside.

Remove the chicken from the marinade and cook it in oil. Then, transfer it to a plate.

Wipe the pan and add oil. Cook the mushrooms, followed by the carrots and snow peas.

step 3

Add in the reserved sauce and bring to a boil. Add in the cooked chicken and simmer. Turn off the heat and stir in the bamboo shoots. Serve.
