Sheet Pan Salmon, made with potatoes, green beans, and a honey garlic glaze, makes getting a delicious, elegant family meal on the table with minimal effort. It is fast enough for a weeknight meal, yet impressive enough for a special occasion.

This recipe for Baked Honey Garlic Salmon is an all-in-one family meal that comes together with minimal effort, yet delivers impressive results. Salmon fillets are glazed with a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce and baked alongside baby potatoes and fresh green beans for a simple, wholesome sheet pan meal.

Thanks to Harris Teeter for sponsoring this family meal that can be made for less than thirty dollars using quality ingredients purchased at Harris Teeter. As always, all opinions and the recipe are my own.

When it comes to weeknight dinners we all need meals that require minimal prep. But yet we don't want to sacrifice flavor or nutrition. This Honey Garlic Salmon paired alongside potatoes and green beans is the perfect solution.

With just one pan, a few ingredients, and a few minutes of time, you can prepare a healthy Salmon Sheet Pan meal that is incredibly delicious.

The potatoes and green beans are roasted with garlic to tender, crispy perfection, while the honey garlic glaze on the salmon wins everyone over.

Whether you prepare this salmon dinner on a night you are short on time or for a special family celebration, you will deliver a flavorful meal with ease!

    Ingredients Needed

Ingredients for Samon Sheet Pan Meal labeled on counter.
    • Salmon: For this recipe, you need four 6-ounce fillets of salmon. I recommend salmon with the skin still on, as it keeps the delicate flesh intact and the skin helps to seal in the moisture in the fish as it cooks. It is always best to purchase salmon within 24 hours of planning to prepare for the best quality.
    • Potatoes: To cut down on prep time, I recommend purchasing baby potatoes. Use red, yellow, or a combination of the two. If your potatoes are larger than 1-½ inches in diameter, be sure to cut them in half or in fourths as needed.
    • Green Beans: This recipe calls for fresh green beans. You can purchase in bulk and wash and trim the green beans yourself, or you can purchase a bag of trimmed fresh green beans from the produce section. A great substitute for green beans is asparagus, as the cooking time is very similar.
    • Honey Garlic Glaze: The glaze for the salmon is made with melted butter, minced garlic, fresh lemon juice, honey, and Dijon mustard, which works to give the salmon incredible flavor.
    • Seasonings: You will also need olive oil and salt and pepper to roast the potatoes and vegetables.

Note: To keep this recipe dairy-free, replace the melted butter in the honey garlic glaze with your favorite non-dairy butter or olive oil.

How to Make Sheet Pan Salmon

    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the green beans and potatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic. Toss well to evenly coat the potatoes and green beans with seasonings and oil.
Red potatoes and green beans in clear mixing bowl with garlic and salt and pepper.
    • Spread the seasoned vegetables out on a sheet pan and bake for 15 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit while preparing the salmon. This will allow enough time for the potatoes and green beans to get tender and crispy, without overcooking the salmon.
Seasoned potatoes and green beans on sheet pan.
    • While the potatoes and green beans are baking, use this time to prepare the glaze for the salmon by mixing together the melted butter, lemon juice, honey, Dijon, garlic, salt, and pepper together in a small mixing bowl until well combined.
Honey Garlic Lemon Marinade mixed together in small mixing bowl.
    • After 15 minutes, carefully, remove the sheet pan from the oven and use a spatula to push the potatoes and green beans to the side of the pan in order to fit the salmon on the pan.
    • Place the salmon onto the pan and very generously spoon the glaze over the salmon fillets. You want to use ALL of the glaze to really season the salmon.
Spoon pouring glaze over salmon filet on sheet pan.
    • Return the sheet pan to the oven and bake for 15-18 minutes or until the salmon reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit and the potatoes are fork-tender.
    • Top with freshly sliced lemon for additional flavor if desired.

Prevents your screen from going dark while preparing the recipe.

    Instructions

    • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
    • In a large mixing bowl, or on the sheet pan itself, toss together the potatoes and green beans with the olive oil, 1 teaspoon kosher salt, ½ teaspoon black pepper, and 1 tablespoon minced garlic. Spread the mixture onto the sheet pan and bake for 15 minutes.
    • While the potatoes and green beans are baking, mix together the melted butter, lemon juice, honey, Dijon, 1 tablespoon of garlic, ½ teaspoon of salt, and ½ teaspoon pepper together in a small mixing bowl until well combined.

    • Return the sheet pan to the oven and bake for 15-18 minutes or until the salmon reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit and the potatoes are fork-tender.
    • Serve with fresh lemon slices.

    Equipment Needed

    • Rimmed Baking Sheet

    Notes

Salmon: You can use skin-on or skinless Salmon fillets. with no change in the cooking time. I recommend leaving the skin on the fillets to seal in the moisture in the salmon. And be sure to use your salmon within 24 hours of purchasing or defrosting.
Green Beans: Use fresh green beans that have been trimmed. A great substitute for green beans is asparagus, as the cooking time is very similar.
Potatoes: Red or gold potatoes are best for this recipe. If your potatoes are larger than 1 ½ inches in diameter, be sure to cut them in half or in fourths as needed, so that they are no larger than 1 ½ inches in diameter (the width of the potato).
Dairy-Free Modifications: Substitute the melted butter with olive oil if you would prefer a dairy-free recipe for salmon.
Leftovers: This recipe for sheet pan salmon is the best served immediately. However, if you do happen to have leftovers, you can refrigerate for up to 48 hours.

My parents are getting older and it's hard for them to cook. Luckily, they live close by so we try to go over and cook and their house at least once a week so my dad can stay home where he's comfortable, I get to visit with my mom, and they get a good home-cooked meal. However, I don't want to take my whole kitchen over there every time, so I loved the idea of the one-pan meal and gave it a try. Besides, my mom really loves salmon. I did the all the prep at my house (made the sauce; cleaned, cut, and seasoned the vegetables; etc.). When I got to their house, all I had to do was pop it in the oven. First of all, anything with that much garlic smells wonderful while cooking and even the cats were circling the kitchen wanting some. Everyone loved this meal! My mom adored the salmon, my husband had a second helping, and my dad kept saying, "That was really good salmon!" and he ate every bite. It was also easy for him to eat with his teeth because everything was relatively soft. This is a new regular in our rotation. Thanks, Kristen! You've done it again!

I haven’t tried it yet, but it sounds great,,,,do you think the flavor profile would work with Mahi Mahi or tuna steaks?
