Tips for this Week's Meal Plan

  • The meatloaf calls for ยฝ pound Italian Sausage. I would purchase 1 pound and use the remaining ยฝ pound in lasagna on Friday night in place of ground beef. You can get away with only ยฝ pound meat in the lasagna or no meat at all!
  • Use red potatoes to serve as parsley potatoes with the meatloaf on Sunday and with the chicken on Wednesday.
  • No recipe for grilled cheese. Just butter bread, layer on your favorite cheese slices, and toast up over medium heat and enjoy with the soup. Serve leftovers for lunch during the week.
  • This week uses A LOT of sweet potatoes. Tacos, Chili, and for side dishes. I would also prep some baked sweet potatoes to use for the oatmeal and waffles for breakfast--or you could just use a can of pumpkin puree!
  • On Tuesday, prep extra sweet potato taco filling and use for burritos or tacos for lunch. If you have leftover Spanish rice, stuff that into the burritos as well--YUM!
  • Friday night's lasagna is the EASIEST way to prep lasagna ever. No pre-cooking the noodles and adding ground meat is optional! Remember to use the leftover Italian sausage if desired.
