If you are looking to incorporate more fish into your family's diet or looking for recipes for Meatless Fridays through the season of Lent, let me help!

I have gathered my top picky-eater approved seafood recipes that I come back to again and again. These recipes use simple ingredients, are relatively inexpensive, come together quickly, and taste good enough that even my kids don't complain.

Picky-Eater Approved Seafood Recipes

From sheet pan salmon that requires almost zero cleanup to crispy homemade fish sticks my kids devour, this is my real-life lineup for getting my family to enjoy more seafood -- without complaint! 😉

1. Honey Garlic Sheet Pan Salmon with Veggies

This sheet pan salmon with roasted potatoes and green beans feels special but doesn't leave you with a sink full of dishes. Everything roasts together under a sticky honey-garlic glaze, and the whole meal is ready in about 30 minutes. It's perfectly balanced, satisfying, and honestly one of my favorite ways to do seafood on a Friday night.

2. Homemade Crispy Baked Fish Sticks

These baked fish sticks are crispy, tender, and so much better than anything from a box. Start with mild white fish, bread with seasoned panko, and bake them until golden. I love them with tartar sauce, my husband loves them with bang bang sauce, and my kids devour them with ranch or ketchup. Bottom line, we are all happy!

3. Blackened Mahi Mahi

When I'm craving bold flavor and a quick cook time, this blackened mahi mahi is my answer. A simple spice rub and a hot skillet give you restaurant-quality fish in less than 15 minutes. It also happens to be one of my son's all-time favorites.

4. Instant Pot Tuna Noodle Casserole

I'll be honest, tuna noodle casserole isn't usually the most exciting dish, but this Instant Pot version has completely changed my mind. It is a dump and cook recipe made without canned soups. It is creamy, comforting, and leaves me with just one pot to wash. Just be sure to use vegetable broth if you want to keep this meat free.

5. Easy Baked Fish Tacos

These fish tacos are one of my personal favorite. Flaky seasoned fish, crunchy cabbage slaw, and a creamy chipotle sauce come together in under 30 minutes. And tacos are always an easy sell.

6. 15-Minute Shrimp Tacos

These shrimp tacos feature juicy shrimp and a bright lime slaw that makes eating seafood a pleasure. Even better? They are on the table in just about 15 minutes. Perfect for busy nights!

7. Baked Salmon with Easy Dry Rub

What sets this recipe apart are two things: the sweet and savory salmon seasoning and the simplicity of the recipe! With just minutes of prep, it is a foolproof, no-fuss way to get salmon on the table.

8. Shrimp and Veggie Stir-Fry

It is the simple sweet and savory sauce here that wins over the pickiest of eaters. It coats the shrimp and veggies with a glaze that makes seafood (and veggies) easy to swallow. Add in the fact that is ready in about 15 minutes, this recipe really checks all the boxes.

9. Honey Soy Salmon Bites

Salmon Bites coated in honey soy sauce inside skillet.

These little cubes of salmon get marinated in a sweet-savory sauce, then seared until they're caramelized and tender. I love serving them over rice with some steamed broccoli for an easy weeknight bowl that tastes way fancier than the effort it takes. They're also a huge hit with my picky kids, which is saying something.

10. Baked Coconut Shrimp

These coconut shrimp are my secret weapon when I need something that feels like a treat but comes together easily at home. The crispy coconut coating gives them that sweet, tropical crunch that everyone loves, and they're fun enough that even picky eaters get excited about seafood night.

11. Honey Garlic Grilled Shrimp Skewers

Three words. Honey. Garlic. Grilled. That combination delivers shrimp that is sweet, bold, and perfectly caramelized. They cook in just minutes on the grill (or a grill pan) and I love how versatile they are. Toss them with pasta, pile them on salad, or just serve them with rice and veggies for an effortless dinner.

12. Lemon Baked Cod

Baked Seasoned Cod on plate topped with fresh parsley.

While this recipe calls for cod fish, the process works with any firm white fish. With just a few simple ingredients and a quick hands-off bake, it is one of my go-to fish dinners. But let me be honest, it is all about the butter here! That is what wins over the picky eaters at my house.

Whether you are trying to win over picky eaters or simple looking to incorporate more reliable seafood recipes into your diet, I hope these recipes make the process a little easier and a lot more delicious. xo-Kristen
