Notes on Ingredients

You will find the full list of ingredients, along with quantities in the recipe card. Below is a quick glance at what you need and tips to help you make the right selection.

Ingredients for potato wedges on counter with text overlay.
  • Potatoes: Russet potatoes are a must when making homemade potato wedges! They have a high starch and low moisture content, which will yield a crispy potato wedge with a fluffy interior!
  • Breading For Potato Wedges: Flour, parmesan cheese, salt, and spices work together to season the potatoes and give the potato wedges the crispiest exterior.
  • Oil: A small amount of oil (extra virgin olive oil, canola oil, or avocado oil) will help ensure the breading sticks to the potato wedges and helps the wedges become crispy.

How To Make Air Fryer Potato Wedges

The following tips are provided to help you achieve perfect results. You will find the ingredient quantities and detailed instructions in the recipe card at the bottom of this post.

  1. Prepare Potatoes. Scrub and dry the potatoes well. There is no need to peel the potatoes when making potato wedges, simply cut them into thick wedges.

  1. Season Potato Wedges. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, parmesan, salt, and seasonings together. Add in the potatoes and oil and toss to coat the potatoes evenly in the mixture. Swap the bowl for a storage bag for minimal clean-up!

  1. Air-Fry Potato Wedges. Place the prepared potatoes in a single layer in the air fryer basket and air-fry for 10 minutes, flip, and continue to air fry until crispy and cooked through.

Work in Batches if Needed

In order for your potato wedges to get crispy and cook evenly, it is best to lay your seasoned potato into an even layer in your air fryer basket or tray, ensuring they don't overlap. If needed, keep air-fried wedges in the oven at 200℉ while the other batch/batches cook up.

Serving Suggestions

These seasoned potato wedges are so flavorful, they really don't need to be paired with a dipping sauce, but they do pair well with ketchup or ranch dressing, if desired. And they compliment ENDLESS dishes. Below are a few of our favorites.
